Windy Oaks Wines

All of our pinot noirs are unfiltered and unfined, ensuring the purest expression of the grape. Because pinot noir is such a delicate grape, we do not use pumps; we use 100% gravity during harvest, crush, press, and bottling, to preserve the subtle nuances of the wine. And half of the fermentation bins are done with indigenous yeast.

Cedar Lane is a rocky site with cool nights, allowing for a ripe and full bodied graceful mouth feel; in the French style, showing a vital and vigorous focus, but with a sense of rich detail and textural charm; its opulent density is very pleasing and its mineral elements and zesty verve deliver energy and elegance with seamless layers of classic honeysuckle, apricot, peach pit tanginess, faint citrus marmalade, verbena/orange honeycomb, subtle wood nuances and crunchy chalky stones; aged 14 months in neutral French oak, 72 cases.
